About Taylor
Taylor is thrilled to join the VOS teaching team as one of our 5th-7th Grade instructors. With a strong foundation in Judaic studies, Hebrew, and prayer reading, Taylor brings valuable experience from teaching at both Valley Beth Shalom and Adat Ariel. He has served as a 7th Grade prayer teacher and B'nai Mitzvah tutor, and is a specialist in Troupe. Taylor is passionate about creating engaging lesson plans that align with student interests, reflecting his dedication to student engagement, program development, and interactive pedagogy.

In addition to his educational expertise, Taylor has a background in storytelling, film, radio, and community engagement. He holds a BA in Screenwriting from Cal State Northridge and an AA in Live Broadcasting & Electronic Media from Los Angeles Valley College, blending his creativity with strong organizational skills.

Outside of teaching, Taylor enjoys hiking and birdwatching, with a special fondness for the Black Phoebe, a native bird of Los Angeles. He is also an enthusiast of classic films and is always open to new recommendations. A fan of tabletop games, Taylor loves playing everything from Rummikub to D&D.
