VOS JEWELS is thrilled to introduce our new Director of Lifelong Learning, Ms. Sharone Weizman. With over 20+ years’ experience as a Jewish educator in both formal and informal settings, Sharone brings to our VOS community a rich pedagogical background and an understanding of cognitive development for all ages.  She strives to impart to each child, teen and adult a passion for lifelong learning and a fundamental appreciation of what it means to be Jewish in today’s world. Because she believes it is through interactive experiences that positive Jewish memories are formed, Sharone places a strong emphasis on active learning techniques and experiential education.
 

Sharone received her Master’s in Education and Bachelors in Jewish Studies from the University of Judaism (AJU), where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She also holds a Bachelor of Literature in Hebrew Letters from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies and is fluent in Hebrew. 
 

In addition to serving as Director of Education for several synagogues, Sharone is skilled in curriculum development, family and adult education and leading retreats, March of the Living trips, youth groups and summer camps.  

Ms. Weizman resides in Lake Balboa with her husband, David Meyers and son, Ethan.  When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, traveling, trying new restaurants, and enjoying family adventures.
