Julie grew up going to Jewish summer camp and spent many summers as a camp counselor and camp director. Julie has been teaching children and young adults from pre-k through high school in synagogues around Los Angeles for over 35 years. As a recipient of the prestigious 2019 Lainer Award for Teaching Excellence, Julie is recognized for her extraordinary ability to motivate students, her innovative lessons and teaching methods, and her commitment to excellence. She believes that Jewish education is a family affair and that VOS JEWELS is a joint effort between the clergy, teachers, parents, and students. Julie loves being a mom to her daughter and son-in-law, and to her son, and being bubbie to a beautiful grandson.
